Working hand techniques at North Point Mall!!
Question To Coach Monger: What is the best Style out there?
Answer from Coach Monger:There is no best Styles, Only best Students, every Martial Arts system has techniques in them that can hurt you if applied correctly. Stop spending thousands of dollars on instructors telling you that this style is better than that style think about it, why are they telling you that yes they want your money and he just lied to you to get it, so do you really want to take martial arts from him? If you like Kung fu, tai chi, taekwondo, karate-do, boxing, wrestling, judo, kickboxing etc; then take it, not because someone told you it was better than another style, but because you saw it and you liked it .
Know if you are interested in being a fighter you have to train to be a fighter you have to work on condition your body to take a lot of punishment and on your strength to dish out punishment you have to learn all your techniques, how to apply them and when to apply them. As a fighter you have to pick your fighting sport, you have to understand the rules of your sport, what you can use and what you can not use. Being a ex-pro fighter I did not always win my fights even if I felt I won remember judges are human if they feel for another fighter more than you they will pull more toward them on their scoring, does that mean there STYLE is better then yours NO or if you are less of a fighter NO. Coach Monger's saying: "STYLES do not make fighters, fighters make STYLES". Remember when you pick a school or style make sure you like the instructor and he can teach you how to apply the techniques you want to learn.
